Scene selection
Add scenes to your board
To start mapping out your board, you need to add multiple scenes to schedule.
To add new scenes, please follow the instructions below:
- In the right side of the top of the page, click on "ADD SCENES".
- In the pop-up window, enter the necessary scene information: type of project, episode range: minimum and maximum episode to be planned, status of the scenes: shot, planned or unscheduled. You can also select the text version (final version or revised version). In the dropdown menu of "sets", pick the specific set linked to the scenes. You can also choose one of the multiple roles. Determine the dates of planned scenes and the session. Finally, pick one of the different units the scenes are assigned to.
- Launch the search by hitting the magnifying glass icon.
- The results returned by the search are displayed below. Handpick the scenes by manually clicking on the stripes, one by one or press "select all".
- Click on "+" in order to add the selected scenes to your board.
Your scenes have been added to the bottom part of the page. You can now start managing and editing the information you need.
Once the scenes have been added, the interface should display the following information:
- A different strip represents each of the added scenes. Here you can find the current dat: scene number, sets and sub-sets of the scene, the characteristics: Interior / Exterior, Time effect: day / night, roles, expected timing, notes and unit shooting this specific scene. You can also see the breakdown that has been made.
- If you desire, you can actually tag elements by going directly to the Breakdown page. To get there, just click on the button BREAKDOWN.
- In the upper field, it is possible to change the viewing status and apply the same mode to all scenes breakdown private, provisional or final. It is also possible to export your breakdown by clicking on "EXPORT".
- In the text box, the filter allows you to see just certain scenes to make your scheduling faster and easier. For example, you can filter by sets to find scenes that are shot in the same location. Or filter by roles to group together scenes including the same character.
Edit scene data
To successfully work with scheduling, you need to at least estimate preparation and shoot time and evaluate the complexity of each scene. In order to edit the scenes, please follow the steps below:
- By clicking on the strip of a scene you want to modify, a toolbar menu will appear.
- Click on the symbol for any modifications.

- In the new pop-up window, you'll be able to modify the data you want: the date, the unit and the characteristics of the set: Int / Ext and sub-set. Then estimate the shooting time. It is also possible to leave notes. Duration is the amount of time you estimate a given scene will take to shoot. This is important to make sure you stay on schedule, and avoid any timing hiccups.
- If you wish, it is possible to assign a difficulty level to the scene by rating it one to three stars. Not all scenes are created equally, some require more time and effort to pull off. If you have a scene that is difficult to shoot, grade it here.
- Finally, you can select a main color to color the entire strip of a scene and / or a secondary color to stick a patch on it.
- Validate your modifications by pressing "OK".

This is what a scene should look like by applying a primary color for its strip (1), a secondary patch color (2) or both together (3).

You can also modify several scenes at the same time. To select multiple scenes at once, hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on the scenes you want to modify. All selected scenes will be highlighted in a yellow outline. This will display the toolbar menu: click on the modification option.
