On Cinetwork, it's important to clarify the concepts of the episode, the screenplay, and the scenes.
The screenplay of an episode or a specific scene is primarily a text that is sequentially divided to create one or multiple shooting "strips" called scenes.
An episode, therefore, comprises several scenes, which themselves can be further divided into extensions to denote a technical and logistical requirement for shooting (e.g., scenes like TEL, VO, VIDEO, FB (Flashback), or FF (flash-forward)).
Cinetwork allows for specific annotations (e.g., FB, VID, etc.) in the title of a scene to differentiate them. A scene number can be structured as follows: Episode Number.Sequence Number(SUFFIX)EXTENSION
For example: 1.7(A)VID means: Scene 7 of Episode 1. The suffix (A) indicates an extension directly derived from the script, while "VID" denotes the extension of scene 1.7 created for technical and logistical needs.
Note: Cinetwork allows the subdivision of a sequence using only letters (not numbers) to avoid complicating the overall numbering. For instance, it is not possible to subdivide a scene into extensions like 1.7(1).1.
The "Screenplay" view provides an overview of episodes/screenplays currently in production/ being shot.
- To access this interface, click on the "Screenplay" module from the main menu.
- By default, episodes/screenplays currently being shot are displayed. Episodes are considered to be in active production if they have at least one scheduled or ongoing shooting scene.
- To display other episodes, simply use the search filters using the episode range.
- Then, click on the "SEARCH" button to display the results of your search.

Create screenplay/episode
To add a new episode, follow these simple steps:
- Click on the "+ SCREENPLAY" button in the screenplays module.

- In the new window, assign a number to the respective episode.
- It's also possible to add a title to your episode (optional).
- Finally, click on "+NEW SCREENPLAY".

Your screenplay has been created! Now, you can import the script for this episode, create/add the scenes comprising it, and/or divide the scenes.
Screenplay Overview
When you click on an episode/screenplay, you can access its personal sheet where you'll find the following information:
The top section of the episode interface displays: The video of the episode, the cover page, timings, the broadcast date, etc. Additionally, there's the option to download the screenplay in PDF, modify the episode, or delete it.

The lower interface of a screenplay contains various tabs:
- SCENES : Displays all the scenes of a screenplay.
- It includes the list of scenarios and scenes associated with them.
- By clicking on a scenario, it opens the text and shows the different versions of the scenario.
- Different scenes belonging to the same scenario.
- VIDEOS : Upon clicking, it shows the different videos of the episode: Final Version, internal, and external editing.
- STATISTICS : By clicking on this tab, you can access various statistics of a screenplay regarding its characteristics: sets, roles, effects, interior/exterior, etc.
- IMPORT FDX : Permits the import of a scenario in FDX format.
- IMPORT PDF : Allows the import of a scenario in PDF format.
- IMPORT VIDEOS: Import videos directly from the screenplay interface.
- PRODUCT PLACEMENT : Clicking on this tab displays the different product placements constituting an episode.

The "SCENES" tab of the episode appears as follows:
- All the scenes that constitute the episode.
- Clicking on "+Sort" allows you to sort the order of scenes and structure the episode accordingly.
- By clicking on "+Add," you can create a new scene. It's also possible to add an existing scene from another episode into this one, like a flashback scene.
- You can remove a scene from a scenario. In this case, the scene remains in the Cinetwork database but will be marked as an orphan scene, not associated with any episode.
- Direct modification of scene characteristics is possible here: characters, sets, interior/exterior, effects, continuity day, continuity time, continuity note.
- It's also possible to select multiple scenes for bulk modifications: adjusting their continuity day, continuity time, continuity note, and their story.
- Dividing a scenario: A scenario of a scene can be divided into several logistical scene strips.
- Finally, clicking on the scenario provides access to the text related to a group of scenes, allowing access to different versions of the scenario and associated information.

Divide scene
To divide a scene into multiple scene strips for logistical or technical shooting needs, you can perform this action from the episode/screenplay view, the individual scene sheet, or even from the breakdown view.
To divide a scene from the episode view, follow these steps:
- Click on the scissors icon next to the scenario you wish to divide. For example, scene 81.1.

- In the new window, enter the name of the extension, for instance: VID, VO, A, B, etc. Please note, the extension name cannot contain a number.
- By default, the extension inherits the characteristics (sets, characters, time, int/ext) of the divided scene. If there are different characteristics, you can directly modify them. For example, in the case of the "VO" extension that includes only one character.
- Click on "DIVIDE SEQUENCE."

You can observe that new divided scene 81.1VO has been placed within scenario alongside the other scenes.
