Continuity shots : Search & add Continuity shots

The module CONTINUITY SHOTS is a catalog that allows you to quickly archive your CONTINUITY SHOTS and index them by department. Use the continuity shot list to keep track of the footage and make sure that props and/or costumes matches from take to take.

 

Search configuration

If you'd like to search for a specific continuity shot, you will first need to configure your session and make sure to choose the right department. To do so, please follow the steps below:

  1. Click on "CONFIGURATION"  at the top of the interface.

  1. Choose your team and your department .
  2. Launch the search.

Continuity shot search

Once you have configured your search, the continuity shots will be automatically displayed. The interface should look something like this: 

  1. You can verify that it is the right department.
  2. You can also do a quick search for a particular shot by typing in your criteria in the SEARCH BAR . You can search a continuity shot by Keyword, Scene, Episode or by Role.
  3. The shots are automatically listed in order of creation, but you can reorder them by selecting one of the two choices “DATE” or “CONTINUITY” .
  4. The shots display various information such as: scene number, role, set, day of continuity, unit ... . 
  5. It is possible to export a single shot by clicking on the icon at the bottom left of the photo of your choice.
  6. Additionnaly, you can export all the photos, by clicking on the icon on the top right of the page, in order to upload a zipped file of all the photos.

To list and archive continuity shots in the catalog, please follow these steps:

  1. CONFIGURATION OF THE SESSION: Make sure to select the accurate department and team before adding a new shot.
  2. Click on + ADD at the top of the page or on the symbol of the addition on the right of the interface.

  1. To add a photo, you can either upload a file from your computer or take the photo directly from your phone or tablet. It is also possible to drag and drop multiple files at once. ATTENTION: In this case, the import information will be the same for all chosen files.
  2. Next, fill in the different information: the SHOOTING DATE. By default, today's date is selected.
  3. If you click on the SCENE dropdown menu, you can select one of the displayed scene related to the shooting date. The DAY OF CONTINUITY and SET data are auto-generated.
  4. Finally, type in one or several TAGS to simplify the keyword search.When you type your tag into the search engine bar, it will offer a selection of keywords as you type. You can choose proposals or create a new one.
  5. When you're finished, hit +ADD.
