Setup & Scene selection

To start, you must choose a range of dates or/and the she shooting dates in order to display the scenes list.

Combining two criteria will allow you to constitute an exclusive filter (In the example: only the scenes between episodes 1 and 10 AND shot/planned to be shot from January 1st to 10th 2021). You can also display your scenes by configuring the roles, sets, categories or  elements.

You can also choose to sort your scenes by scene or by shooting order.

Overall view

  1. Lock/Unlock : Just enable or disable the lock to start entering your data.
  2. Categories to display: Also, for convenience, the different categories are not automatically displayed. You will have to select the ones that interest you in the dedicated drop-down menu.
  3. Display: A color code is automatically applied to the date’s column. As soon as a scene is shot, it will appear in green, as opposed to those planned or unplanned which appear in white.
  4. Continuity shots: You can find this shortcut in the first column of each scene.  By clicking on it, you can directly consult the continuity shots provided by all the departments.
  5. Multi-authors view: you can distinguish each user's notes by the initials that appear next to each element. The full name of the author is displayed by hovering your mouse over the initials. In this example: UC stands for Ulysse Campion.
  6. Scene Info: In general, and regardless of whether you are in reading or editing mode, you can click on a scene number to view its scenario as well as its personal sheet.

Navigation Filters

Different filter options are available to help you refine your navigation and browse more efficiently.

1. Filter by scene criteria: Sets & Cast.

Basic filters allow you to refine your selection with greater precision and to narrow it down by set or role.

→ Note: If you choose the filter by role, the added elements will be automatically linked to the role specified in the search.

2. Filter by elements:

As for the filter by element, it allows you to search only scenes in which a particular element is marked.

→ Just begin typing, and you’ll see the elements appear in Autocomplete. However, pay attention to the spelling of the words; it must be exactly the same.

3. Filter by author:

By default, the breakdown of all users is automatically displayed. But you can also use the filter to show only one or more authors of your choice.

undefined

By combining these filters, you can breakdown more quickly using the “copy element” button which will copy the chosen element in all the scenes of your selection.

You can thus choose to copy the costume of a character on all its scenes of the same day of continuity, to apply a note to a specific set on a range of days of continuity and/or shooting.

The filter by element also makes it possible to make certain breakdown more quickly. So, you can for example filter all the scenes containing an animal, and add a trainer in the additional personal category.

Additional Tools

Some set of tools are displayed on the continuity overall view:

  1. The breakdown button allows you to switch to the second interface to breakdown scene by scene.
  2. The Item List displays all the items appearing in your selection. Each element is accompanied by a list of scenes, as well as their planned shooting dates.
  3. The HMC Grid is a document displaying each role and its attributed scenes. This document intended for printing also contains columns for notes and descriptions that you can eventually fill up by hand.
  4.  The Export button allows you to export the information of your breakdown and print it out.
  5. This button allows you to show or hide the annex scenes.
  6. By default, scenes are displayed by continuity. In order to display them by date of shooting, you need to click on this button.
  7. By default, columns/categories with no breakdown are displayed. For a better visibility, you can hide empty columns by clicking on this button.
  8. This filter allows, within the filter by character, to display only the elements linked to the character of your choice.
  9. By clicking on this button, you will have the possibility to display : No supmmary, the direction summaries, the script supervision summaries or the script summaries.

Linking elements:

When you start adding an element, the autocomplete system suggests and completes similar elements. By clicking on the suggested element, you create a link between these two elements, to signify that they are connected for example, or in the case of extras to signify that they are the same people who interpret different roles in the same day .

→ You can also link an element to others from its personal sheet. This binding allows you to display a schedule of presence of elements, a list of continuity shots or to make a mass modification (For example if the blue car becomes a gray SUV).
